Great idea. I would suggest, instead of writing "edit" with each edit, just add the new suggestions to the current list in sequence and (if possible) include in brackets beside them a post herein that explains the detail)
tooot toooot (that's my own horn going off)
Since a few people have mentioned number 12, either not understanding how it would work or not understanding how it could be practical, I'll summarize the very basics
1-buy a cage for 2-20 plat
2-hire a creature catcher for 2-20 plat
3-protect the catcher while in the feild for his cast time, don't let him or the target die
4-choose the cage to put the creature in in your guild hall
5-release the creature in your hall to combat vs. your guild, a single player or another creature
This would be good for training, fun, and brag rights (omfgz! i just gvged and they had 10 seige worms!!!!)
edit: creatures would not be used in GvG but would still be visible and caged

These ideas are all great. It would be so cool if they made a little ring or something similar for guild members to have little 1v1s while everyone else could stand at the edge and watch/cheer etc.

Some great ideas here and great idea for a thread btw..
Storage and practise areas would be really useful, hmm maybe access to the Tomb via the hall would be a good feature for those past a certain point that is. Maybe if they simply added a practise match option via the organising match menu (against random guilds) instead of having to find a guild ready to practise unrated at the same time

I love the ideas of Storage and a Merchant - plus they should be fairly easy to implant into the game.

On expanding the Guild Hall and such...maybe it could unlock a seperate area to go to thats not in the GvG area. This area could be for maybe inviting other guilds for celebrations, a place for the merchants and NPCs to roam about, and a place for housing (it could be done like Anarchy Online where its the same building, but a different zone for each person, and by entering the building, you go to the team leaders room, but maybe add a lobby area just for the sake of having it).

They are going to do storage and practise area.
Hope that storage is more like a bank system where you can deposit items to fellow guildmembers

we definately need more stuff to do in a hall.
i dont have one as yet, not made it far enough into the game to get the cash and dont realy need one when theres only 2 of you in the guild ^^ lol
but i have been thinking about this a lot lately, (specialy last night when the guru was down for me) and have tought of a few things, some of which i know have been said befor, but others that might not have.
a Guild Officer in all large towns that you can get info from, when you just have a guild and no hall. then later, once you *have* a hall, you can do quests (the leader or the officers need to start the quest, but anyone can join in from the guild) to get stuff for your guild hall
like a practice area. you get the basic fenced off area after the quest, with a circle in the dirt for 1 on 1 practice battles. then, you can pay gold for other stuff, such as up to 4 archery targets (they show damage done to them for everyone watching, so you could ahve guild archery contests) 2 monk type practice dumines and 2 cloth dummies for fighter and melee weps testing.
with these, you can test how good your damage is with wepons and skills or spells working and they just show damage, they dont die.
quest for a guild underground area, with an empty bar/tavern area.
it also has a Map room (shows the map of the island on a table, is good for straegy meetings) with a Guild Notice board (you also get one upstairs in the main open hall area when you get the underground area)
a large open area where you can but small statues of the Gods and Goddessess (it anoys me that the statues are all busted. i want small ones that you can buy and pop in the little temple area and prey to or offer gold to)
and a barraks style area with bunkbeds which you can add some lockers to later.
go to fishermans wharf, or quay place and get a quest that will let you have a guild Pond with Fishing game
you fish for the biggest fish, and it gets put in a tank and your name goes under it on a plaque with its wight. then at the end of the month, your name goes on the winners board and the fish goes back in the pond ^^
(a bit lie in Zelda's occarina of time. done this way so we get to fish, but not to sell the fish, kk? )
quest with the Zunie (sp) agents. first, for a guild stash at the agent with no (storeage) behind her name. this is just a stash the same size as your onw, but can hold 50k in plat and is useable by the guild. ether leader only or leader n officer can take out, any guild memeber can add.
then quest again for an agent to be stationed in your guild hall.
after that, you buy the small, med, large and HALL sizes of stash space.
you can also quest for the *personal* character store, available in the barraks. it is the same size as an opened bag, that 10 slots, and you can keep just 15k in it, but it is just for ONE character.
lockers appear beside the bunks, and even if you opened each one, you woud *still* only access YOUR characters store
quest with one of each of the towns and major stopping points for alcohol for the bar
like Ascalon Beer in the old ruins of ascalon.
Yaks Bend Mead from that dwarf guy up in Yaks bend, and so on till you get to Droknas, where you can quest to get the Dwarven Ale *grins*
also, quest with the Guild Agent for various service people, or paye a large amount for them, if you have the cash but not the time.
Guild Armourer...who will make you a set of any armour other than the collectors or specials like fissure and asencsion. they look like the later ones, sure, but they have the stats for the stuff you get in Lions arch
same for a wepons merchant. for a fee and the materials, you can get im to make any style of wepon (baring the special stuff) but it will still have the stats of a similar white item found in the lions arch area.
this will alow those that just want to look good, but are not going to get to the areas in later parts, for whatever their reasons, to be able to have fun in the game and look like they want, but will not unbalance the game as the stuff is just the same, damage and armour class wise, as the basic stuff you get made up for you in lions arch.
*think i got everything lol*

Yeah, me too! They looked nice but I expected at least extra storage space for all that sigil cash!
As they stand Guild Halls are redundant for PvE guilds

hehe..well i still am hoping that they will add a few new halls to each chapter. even 1 hall or 2 per chapter would give us some more variety.
personaly, i would like to see a beach style hall, with parasols and mats by the waters edge and a few guild hall only emotes.../sunbathe for one character lies down on their back and dozes in the sun
and a crystal hall, made form chunks or slabs or even mason cut blocks of the damn crystals that the Charr chucked at us. may as well make use of the frelling stuff, and its solid. pop a large, decorative spikey one in the center, and in GvG, it shoots out random electric energy when players get too near heheh.

Heh... that was pretty much the same reaction I had...
I still say my guild, because of our play style, would have been better off in Nomad's Isle, but we ended up with Warrior's.
I like the look, but beyond that, it's BORING... definately needs a practice area and a Leader/officer only storage place (basically like an armory storage box/room)

more like bank strongvault ^^ Emil
the officers and leader take out, but anyone in the guild can put in ^^
*specially if you have a nice cute Xuni lass to hold the doors for ye, eh? *wink wink*
a fountain that you could stand in or waterfall with a shalow pool would also be nice.
(with the commantds /wash which makes you kneel down and wash yer face, and /shower, which makes you do the shower scrub animation ^^ and /train...this one is for the monks ^^ you stand under the waterfall and do that punch in the falls training to show how much of a hard ass you can be even though your bits are blue from cold and dropping off ^^)

Love the suggestions.
most of these i alreay had and was about to post on here im glad someone else beat me to it before i made a mistake, one thing i can reccomend is that the leader and officers have there own quaters where they can relax and stuff have like locks on it so that only you can get in ad such and that you would have to unlock it to allow someone in, and also have your own title that the leader can give you or you can give it to yourself depending on what you do or what you are good at in the guild, like Head of Recruitment and Mergers and such, well anyway i just hope that all this stuff that is listed will become a part of GW b/c i would like to see most of this happen.
